Rent payments matched to houses automatically
No more scrolling through bank statements to work out who paid. When a tenant pays rent into your KCB account, the bank tells Kodi straight away and the payment is posted to the right house, with a receipt — before you even open the app.
On the next page, tap “New here? Create an account”. All you need is your phone number — no card or payment to start.

The demo uses made-up tenants and SMS is switched off.
How it works
- The tenant pays by M-Pesa to Paybill 522522, with your KCB account number followed by their house number, e.g. 1234567#A2.
- KCB notifies Kodi the moment the money lands in your account.
- Kodi reads the house number, finds the tenant and posts the payment to their balance.
- The tenant gets a receipt and, if you switch it on, an SMS confirming the payment.
Why landlords switch it on
- Money goes straight to your bank, not through anyone else.
- No typing, no missed payments — every payment with a house number is posted for you.
- Anything Kodi can’t match waits in a short list for you to check, instead of being guessed.
- Your account stays yours — other deposits are ignored.
Frequently asked questions
Which banks does this work with?
KCB. Tenants pay through M-Pesa to KCB Paybill 522522 using your account number and their house number. Other banks are on the way.
Do my tenants have to change how they pay?
No. They keep paying to your KCB account through Paybill 522522. The only thing they add is their house number after your account number, for example 1234567#A2.
What about payments that are not rent?
Only payments that carry one of your house numbers are posted as rent. Anything else that lands in your account is left alone, so you can keep using the account for other business.
How do I switch it on?
KCB needs a one-time authorisation letter signed by the account holder. We prepare it with you and handle the technical setup with the bank.
